You will support health and safety procedures and build respectful relationships with residents. No aged care experience is required because full training is provided. The roster is five days on and two days off, from 9:30am to 6:00pm, including weekend cover.

A Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Summerset Is More Than a Cleaner

You will work behind the scenes to keep the village fresh, clean, homely, and welcoming for residents.

We are looking for a hardworking and caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our friendly Whangarei village team. Your work will help residents feel comfortable, safe, and at home.

As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you will help create a clean and welcoming environment for residents, their whānau, and team members.

Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Include

• Keep resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities clean and tidy.
• Wash, fold, and return residents’ clothing and linens with care.
• Label, mend, and maintain residents’ personal laundry items.
• Support infection control and health and safety procedures.
• Build friendly and respectful relationships with residents and understand their individual needs.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent full-time role.

You will work a rotating roster:

• Five days on.
• Two days off.
• 9:30am to 6:00pm.
• Weekend cover is included.

Qualifications

You will be a great fit if you:

• Have housekeeping experience, ideally in healthcare or hospitality.
• Take pride in your work and pay attention to small details.
• Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet.
• Have a genuine interest in aged care.
• No experience is necessary because full training is provided.
